We drove to the top of the mountain. It definitely got steep and scary at a couple points. My mother drove up the mountain and I insisted on driving backdown. But the view as soon as you step from the train.. its breathtaking.
If you dont want to drive or dont think your car will make it, they offer a train. And its bright purple!

Silver Tree
We saw this silver tree from the road and couldnt believe it.
-"Stop! Back Up!", my mother yelled as I was driving through the Hubbard Experimental Forest
-"What?!"
-"I think I just saw a silver tree!".
SUUURE.. Then I saw this thing from the road.
That's Definitely a silver tree right? I think the shot through the trees gives you a better reference for color.. becuase the close up shots just dont really capture its brilliance. It almost looks pearlecente in the photos.. but let me assure you, it was SILVER. Then she asked me to go get her a piece of the bark.. after a little searching I found the sharpest tool in the car to be a screwdriver lol .. That was a struggle.
